We stayed here for a weekend away from the city, taking advantage of the B&B service. The lodge is very nice, has 6 rooms all refurbished with all kinds of comforts: mini bar, kettle, hair dryer, hygiene kit, with large, clean and spacious rooms, each with its own terrace. The breakfast offered selections of both homemade pastries, yogurt and jams and savory items with cold cuts, breads and freshly made eggs. There is also a large parking lot and the opportunity to eat in the lodge restaurant.

Dieses schöne Chalet liegt inmitten der Natur und bietet ein aufregendes Panorama. Wir blieben zwei Nächte in den gemütlichen Zimmern, die schön im Bergstil eingerichtet sind. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Wir haben auch zu Abend gegessen und ich muss sagen, dass das Essen wirklich köstlich war. Die Weinkarte ist erstaunlich. Das Personal ist professionell und sehr formell. Manchmal würden die Gäste ein zusätzliches Lächeln zu schätzen wissen. Der Preis für die Zimmer ist sehr attraktiv, während die Kosten für das Abendessen mittelhoch sind.

This beautiful lodge is situated in the midst of nature from where there is an exciting view. We stayed for two nights in the cozy rooms excellently furnished in mountain style. The breakfast is varied and of excellent quality. We also had dinner and I really must say that the food was truly delicious. The wine list is outstanding. The staff is professional and very formal. Sometimes an extra smile would be appreciated by the guests. The price of the rooms is very attractive while the cost of dinner is medium to high.

Our history

Where we are

We are located in the centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Queen of the Dolomites, an emblem of hospitality since its beginnings. This traditional hospitality has evolved and now responds to the highest comfort standards without sacrificing any of its authenticity and belief in family values, courtesy and style.

But let’s look back in time and remember Baita Fraina as it once was, a farmhouse accessed only by a footpath complete with cattle shed and haybarn. Guests venturing to it in its earliest years were welcomed by the current owners’ grandparents Enrico and Clelia Menardi with a smile and a snack, a speck cold cuts board or blueberries and cream. This was 1956 and the building’s future was little more than a dream.
